This episode is truly special and just what America needs right now. We spoke with our previous guest Joe Leventhal, a Republican attorney who ran for San Diego City Council and his good friend Gil Cabrera, a Democratic attorney who ran for San Diego City Attorney in 2016 and serves on the San Diego Convention Center Corporation Board of Directors.
We decided that what the world needs now more than anything is positivity and to come together to bridge the previously gaping partisan divide between Republicans and Democrats.
In this episode we talk about
🙌🏻How to communicate effectively and civilly with people whose political views are different than your own.
🙌🏻Has President Trump further divided the nation with his style of politics and was it easier to be a Republican in the times of George W. Bush?
🙌🏻Why President Trump has so much support and is he giving a voice to those who feel they've been silenced in the past?
🙌🏻How Democrats and Republicans can work together during this scary and uncertain time to reassure the public that we as a country will get through this.
🙌🏻Joe speaks positively about things that Democrat leaders have done well during this time and Gil praises Republican officials he feels have been leading well during the time of Coronavirus.
🙌🏻How to talk to your children about Coronavirus and how to stay sane while quarantined with your kids (backyard activities are a must).
🙌🏻Is President Trump delusional in thinking that things can be back to normal by Easter and is raising the DOW more important than keeping people safe and healthy?
Tune is to hear our views on these topics and more as we show that Republicans and Democrats can work together and even enjoy talking with each other about how to make the nation better during this uncertain time in America and the world.
Thanks Joe and Gil for coming on the show and sharing your thoughts it was a blast and we love and admire your friendship.

In this episode we speak with a frustrated patient who is exhibiting all of the signs of the Coronavirus but can't get tested in San Bernardino County, California. Why is it so hard for non celebrities or politicians to get tested and is that going to change in the next few weeks? We dive into that in the beginning of the podcast.
Next we speak with a Nurse working at Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego, CA about what life is like working with limited PPE equipment, having to bleach the goggles worn in the drive by screening tents, and why she believes it's just a matter of time until she gets Coronavirus. We also talk about how people can best support healthcare workers out there on the frontlines right now, the supplies that are most in need, and what to do if you think you might have Coronavirus.
We close out the podcast talking with an amazing Physician Assistant Prescott Lederer who works down at the Mexico border treating patients seeking political asylum and we hear how COVID-19 is affecting her daily life.
Prescott also has spearheaded an incredible non profit Stay Home San Diego which is a grocery assistance program for the elderly, they have already delivered over 3800 groceries to those in need so if you are able to donate to this amazing organization you can do so here https://www.stayhomesd.com/ or if you or somebody you know over 65 is in need of grocery delivery you can also head to the site and fill out a form.

Our third Coronavirus coverage podcast is here and I think it's our most helpful one yet. In this episode you can hear both myself (a millenial) and my dad (a boomer) talk directly their generation about why it is so important to stay the F home right now and practice social distancing.
You see people out there still living their lives like nothing is happening in the world and it's reckless, ignorant, and extremely selfish. Boomers are refusing to acknowledge that their advanced age puts them at greater risk and Millenials are saying "I'm young and healthy if I get it I'll be fine" without acknowledging that they are spreading it and killing those who are older or immunocompromised.
We also touch on the Democratic debates, how President Trump is handling this pandemic and why are people having such a difficult time getting tests for COVID-19? When can we expect to have a sufficient number of tests and what is going to happen to the economy?
Tune in and please share it with somebody you love, either a Boomer or a Millennial that isn't taking this pandemic seriously.
Here is the video I mentioned in the podcast in which Italians made video messages for themselves from 10 days ago before they went on lockdown urging people to take this seriously before we become Italy and must choose who gets a vent based off of their likelihood to survive.
We need to act now and flatten the curve to not overwhelm our healthcare system and lessen the numbers of cases. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMY0-4p9P-M

Day 2 of our self quarantine over here, and my dad and I are recording this remotely today, he's in his own home and I am in mine.
There is a lot of fear and uncertainty going on right now and there are a lot of people who aren't taking this seriously. However as a family who has a sister/daughter who is severely immunocompromised we have to take this seriously and everybody else needs to be as well.
In this episode we talk about why social distancing is the smartest thing you can do to help flatten the curve so as not overwhelm our healthcare system and leave us in the position that Italy is currently facing, deciding who gets a vent off of who is most likely to survive.
It is a scary time right now in the world and we get that, so we are here to bring you as much current information as possible, some humor, and to encourage you to take this very seriously right now and do your part to help stop the spread so we can get back to our lives sooner rather than later.

![The Politics of the Coronavirus, How President Trump is Handling the Pandemic, and How to be a Good Human Being During a time of Fear and Uncertainty](https://pbcdn1.podbean.com/imglogo/image-logo/6257102/Untitled_design_63__300x300.png)

This week it truly feels like the apocalypse.
Days ago people were laughing at people like myself for 'overreacting" to the spreading virus and President Trump even went as far as to call it a "Democratic Hoax". His own son claimed this was another way for the left to try and get his father removed from office.
My how the tune has changed in 48 hours. President Trump gave a speech on Wednesday night about the Coronavirus and the steps the government is taking to try to prevent the spread. He himself was exposed to the Coronavirus but is refusing testing. Tom Hanks and his wife have been diagnosed along with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's wife, March Madness is cancelled along with Coachella and Stagecoach and people are hoarding food and toilet paper.
How will we get through this as a nation?
In this episode we dive into
- How President Trump's speech was received by both the Republicans and the Democrats.
- If it's racist to refer to this virus as the "Chinese Coronavirus".
- How to be a good human being and keep your shit together during this time of fear and uncertainty asa country.
- The reliable sources of information you should be using to get up to date info about quarantines and the spread of the virus.
- No cocaine won't cure Coronavirus stop doing that!
Please take a listen if you want a mix of serious information mixed in with lighthearted humor and a plea to the American people to come together during this time rather than let this fear tear us apart. Check in on your elderly neighbors who can't make it to the store and ask them what they need. Have 100 rolls of toilet paper in your garage, go give some to the single mom next door. Did you stock up on hand sanitizer and Lysol wipes weeks ago and have a huge supply? Give some to your immunocompromised friends and neighbors who don't have any. We can get through this as a nation but we have to work together.

Get excited people because we are breaking down the two different San Diego Election Night Celebrations.
We were lucky enough to be invited to both the Republican event at the US Grant Hotel and the Democrat party at the Westin and both were very different experiences. Tune in to the episode to hear all about it!
We also talk about the Super Tuesday results, Elizabeth Warren appearing on SNL, why it was a great day for Joe Biden, and Bernie's Cable Access News show (the guy has looked 70 since he was 42, it's crazy).
We also touch on the Corona Virus epidemic and how cities are struggling to keep water and toilet paper in stock. How to protect yourself and boost your immunity naturally and also how to listen to the CDC recommendations to keep yourself safe.
It's a great episode filled with lots of insight and as always a lot of laughs, please subscribe and leave us a review!

![Talking All Things Voter and Election Integrity with Ruth Weiss Co Founder of Election Integrity Project California](https://pbcdn1.podbean.com/imglogo/image-logo/6257102/Untitled_design_63__300x300.png)

We are so thrilled to share this episode with you all where we sit down and chat with Ruth Weiss, Vice President and Co-Founder of the Election Integrity Project California, Inc. (EIPCa).
Coming off of Super Tuesday it seems like a better time than ever to talk about Voter Fraud and Maintaining Election Integrity in California. While some people don't really think Voter Fraud is that much of an issue in the US, Ruth disagrees.
Ruth’s father was a U.S. History teacher, who taught using primary documents to instill a deep understanding of this country’s real roots and purpose. As a result, she grew up with a healthy respect for America and everything that has made her exceptional.
After retiring from 34 years of teaching high school English and Spanish, Ruth began to search for a new way of contributing to society and her fellow citizens.
The evidence that all is not well with California’s electoral process became clear to Ruth and many California citizens in the early years of the new century. She believes, as every American should, that voting in every election is the greatest privilege we have as American citizens, and the single most important act that we will ever do for ourselves and our posterity. But if our election process is subverted by error, apathy, carelessness and fraud, then we are robbed of the significance and purpose of the great privilege of voting, and that leads directly to the demise of our Republic.
Ruth came to understand that being involved with the Election Integrity Project was her next calling, and she began working with them as San Diego County Coordinator in February of 2011, just two months after the company’s founding.
In March of 2017, Ruth Weiss and Linda Paine began the effort to found a nonprofit organization to continue the work of the Election Integrity Project and on July 21, 2017, the Election Integrity Project California, Inc. (EIPCa) was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) California public benefit nonprofit corporation.
In this episode we chat all things voter and election integrity and why being able to vote is a great privilege that should always be held to the highest standard.

We are thrilled to introduce you today the incredible Roberta Winston who is also running for San Diego Superior Court Judge Seat 18 against CJ Mody whom we had on the podcast last week.
It was a pleasure to chat with her and learn more about her campaign as she is an incredibly accomplished and fascinating person with wonderful experience that is highly applicable to the position for which she is running.
In this episode we get into why Roberta was rated as being exceptionally qualified by the San Diego County Bar Association and why she has been training for this position since her freshman year at at Michigan State University when she was chosen to serve as a Justice on the “all university student judiciary”.
While attending law school at the University of San Diego she was elected to serve as a Justice on the USD Honor Court. Both of these positions required Roberta to hear cases regarding students and their ethical violations. She was highly praised for her ability to be both fair and impartial in these rulings.
She began her legal career in the chambers of State court district Court Judge in Las Vegas working as his judicial law clerk and assisting with both civil and criminal matters.
This is the experience that really sparked her desire to one day become a judge.
Since that position Roberta has been a practicing attorney in San Diego for 33 years. The first were spent working as a litigator in a variety or specialities including personal injury, products liability. Construction defect, insurance bad faith as well. She has also worked in other areas of the law including Healthcare and Bankruptcy.
She has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Nevada Las Vegas speaking to blossoming minds about Advanced Business Law. In addition she has also provided extensive training on Effective Negotiation Skills, Unfair Claim Practices Act and Insurance Fraud Investigation Training.
In this episode we dig deep into
🙌🏻Why being "smart" on crime is sometimes better than being "tough" on crime.
🙌🏻Why it's so important to be fair, balanced, and even tempered as a judge and the need to put your implicit bias in a box.
🙌🏻How San Diego has been a pioneer for Collaborative Courts and what exactly they do for people to prevent recidivism.
🙌🏻Why ego stroking should never be involved in the courtroom.
🙌🏻How you can get curious rather than angry when discussing politics with somebody whom you disagree with.
🙌🏻The importance of listening as a judge and why you have to be ok with making the unpopular decisions as long as it is the right one.
She loves her family which includes three beautiful kids, her two rescue pups and she is an active participant in her community. Roberta is also a passionate fitness instructor, specializing in Zumba & Sculpt, and sings professionally. Truly it was a joy to interview her and she would make an incredible Superior Court Judge.
